Protect Human Potential. Develop Stewards. Change Trajectories.
Desert Dog Foundation is built around a simple conviction: belief can become confidence, confidence can become action, and action can change a life's direction.
The Foundation develops Stewards through leadership, mentorship, education and service, helping people grow into capable leaders who create opportunity for others. Veterans are first in spirit, but the Foundation welcomes anyone ready to learn, work and take responsibility for their future.

Meet Anthony Calderon — Founder

Anthony Calderon
Throughout my life, I've had the privilege of meeting remarkable people who simply needed someone to believe in them—veterans rebuilding their lives, young adults searching for direction, entrepreneurs pursuing their dreams, and individuals who want nothing more than an opportunity to make a difference in their communities.
These experiences have shaped one of my deepest beliefs and became the inspiration behind the Desert Dog Foundation: sometimes the greatest gift we can give another person is simply believing in them until they learn to believe in themselves.
I've seen firsthand what that belief can accomplish. Belief creates confidence. Confidence inspires action. And action can change the direction of a life.
That's what the Desert Dog Foundation is all about—helping people recognize their potential, providing opportunities to pursue it, and reminding them that their future is not defined by their past.
A personal note: This is me in 1984 and today. A reminder of where my own journey of service, responsibility and leadership began.
